Counter-intuitively, the 1986 original is one of the cheaper versions: it was pressed in large numbers, so condition matters more than age. The money is in scarcity — the 2024 limited box (1,015 copies) is the one that commands a premium. A 2013 picture-disc LP, a Canadian pressing (Trafic TFX 87-20) and a German pressing also exist.
Identification of the original: lacquer cut by André Perriat at Master One, pressed by Polygram; runout etched 160 8291271 A POLYGRAM DU1; standard single sleeve with a printed inner carrying the lyrics. There is no gatefold.
